Surface Book 2 GPU Driver disappears randomly after May 2019 update

Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140

Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

I just returned the device got a full refund, I cant afford to have this problem, its absolutely insane for this price point that a device having GPU issues, just look else where for a 2-1 device, in my opinion. Cheaper option out there ...

I have asked Microsoft (via email to an internal contact) to have someone comment officially. Given the silence and lack of official response, if I were in your position, I'd return for full refund as well if a brand new device. That isn't an option for everyone, although rolling back to 1809 seems to fix for some. The issue is that most are beyond the period (10 days) where you CAN roll back so a full wipe and recovery is needed to get back to a usable state, and that is a real PITA.

Historically, Microsoft does not comment on bugs until they have a fix, and who knows when that might be.

No, that's not an update to the post by magchild. This was an older update by the original user intothewoodscomic.

The workaround posted by magchild is still supposed to work - and it does for me.
