Surface Book 2 GPU Driver disappears randomly after May 2019 update

Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140

Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

There are new MSI's for everything EXCEPT the SB2, it appears. I got an email just now (surprisingly) in response to my email asking where these were and he said they were published. I've just sent them screenshots showing that there are no new files for SB2 based on the naming convention used for the new MSI's for the other products. Best I can do..

That reply was not to you, it was to mysteryyy.  You've restored from a back up, we don't know if that was a good backup or not.

Thankfully, our IT department managed to dig out a tape backup with an image of 1803, so I'm running that now.

As I said, I think your best option is to wipe and reimage from a downloadable recovery

image. You will need to back up and files/data stored locally first.  Go to

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/surfacerecoveryimage   and download a recovery image for your Surface. You will need a 16GB USB stick

formatted FAT32 (use a Windows computer).  Best to purchase and use a new,

previously unused USB stick for this. Use FULL format and not quick format and

give the volume a name like surfboot.. There are full instructions and a video

    at

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4023512/surface-creating-and-using-a-usb-recovery-drive#download

The firmware won't be uninstalled and will stay at the current version. After

using the recovery image go to

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and select Update

    Now.

I did run that script (with admin rights), but besides the standard Windows Defender update, it's showing as me being up to date.
