Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140
Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

If it were me, I'd try the TechNet script I mentioned earlier to reset WU.
at one point you said
Thankfully, our IT department managed to dig out a tape backup with an image of 1803, so I'm running that now.
I think your best option is to wipe and reimage from a downloadable recovery
image. You will need to back up and files/data stored locally first. Go to
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/surfacerecoveryimage and download a recovery image for your Surface. You will need a 16GB USB stick
formatted FAT32 (use a Windows computer). Best to purchase and use a new,
previously unused USB stick for this. Use FULL format and not quick format and
give the volume a name like surfboot.. There are full instructions and a video
at
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4023512/surface-creating-and-using-a-usb-recovery-drive#download
The firmware won't be uninstalled and will stay at the current version. After
using the recovery image go to
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and select Update
Now.
I've had the firmware install, but I'm stuck on 1803 build 17134.1069.
I don't have an option to upgrade to v190x right now.
The feature update is still blocked.
There are several ways to upgrade to 1903 despite a windows update block. Not going to go off-topic in this thread but you can simply use Microsoft's updater tool on their website or download a copy of it and upgrade.
