A deactivated recovery email address cannot be reactivated from the Microsoft account side. Access to the account must be recovered by using the available account recovery options.

If the Microsoft account can still be signed in to:

    1. Go to Manage how you sign in to Microsoft.
    2. Add or verify a different email address or phone number for recovery.
    3. If an alias shows as unverified, select Verify and then Send email.

If the account cannot be signed in to:

    1. Start with the Sign-in Helper.
    2. If recovery options are no longer accessible, use the Microsoft account recovery form.
    3. A working email address that can be accessed is required so Microsoft can contact about the recovery request.

    Important:

    • If two-step verification is turned on and none of the alternate verification methods are accessible, support cannot reset access or change account details.
    • Microsoft support agents are not allowed to send password reset links or change account details.

For a work or school account, a recovery email can be added from My Account > Security info > Add method > Email. That email cannot be the work or school email itself.

    Greetings!

This is Tin, I'll do my best to help. If you are trying to recover your alternate email account which is deactivated to recover your main account. It would be better if you will answer the Account Recovery Form instead and make sure to use an active email address to receive the reset password link:

    Kindly open this link:

    https://account.live.com/acsr

Under "where should we contact you?" please make sure to enter an email address that you have access with (this will be your future recover email once you recovered your account)

Please answer as many questions as you can and you can try to check your device where your account is still signed in as your guide.
