Dear Sir/Madam,

I shared my office family license with my wife, by sending her the invite. But her laptop and microsoft office do not seem to accept my invite.

She went to her office support, accepted the invite, and then every time gets the message the link did not work and that i should share the invite with her again. I tried that some 6 times now, and she is still not registered on my Microsoft Family Account.

Can an agent please call me so that we can get this fixed at urgence please?

My phone number is registered in my account.

Thank you for your help.

Sincerely,

Stephan Bals

When you created the invite, did you make sure to follow the steps at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/subscriptions/share-your-microsoft-365-subscription?

And did your wife perform the steps at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/subscriptions/someone-invited-you-to-share-their-microsoft-365-subscription to accept the invite and install Office?

P.S. Since you have sent multiple invites, you may have to delete some of them (see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/subscriptions/stop-sharing-a-microsoft-365-subscription), or you have used up all of your available shares.

    Hi,

Make sure your wife is signed in with the same Microsoft account that received the invitation. If she has multiple Microsoft accounts, sign out of the others before accepting the invitation.

Also, Have your wife open the new invitation in a private/incognito browser window while signed in only to the intended Microsoft account.

I look forward to hearing from you to get the results of the troubleshooting.

For this issue, use Microsoft’s support flow directly:

    1. Open Contact Microsoft Support.
    2. Enter the problem, such as Microsoft 365 Family sharing invite not working.
    3. Select Get Help.
    4. If self-help does not resolve it, select Contact Support to be routed to the best support option.

If the problem is specifically that the invite keeps failing, the supported guidance is:

    • The invited person must accept the Microsoft 365 sharing invitation.
    • If the invitee gets an error that they are already in a family group, they must leave the other family group first, then join the subscription owner’s family group before sharing can work.

If account sign-in is also part of the problem, use the sign-in helper first. Support agents cannot send password reset links or directly change account details.
