Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
If the subscription was eligible for a refund, the refund status appears in Microsoft account Order history. If no refund entry appears, the subscription was either not eligible for a refund or recurring billing was canceled outside the refund eligibility period.
Steps:
- Open Services & subscriptions and sign in with the Microsoft account used for the purchase.
- Find the subscription, select Manage, then Cancel.
- During cancellation, refund eligibility is shown automatically.
- To check whether a refund was issued, open Order history and find the product entry.
- If the status shows the refund was issued but the money has not reached the payment provider yet, wait a few days because banks can take additional time to process it.
Important details:
- Not all cancellations result in a refund.
- Access to Microsoft 365 usually continues until the end of the current billing period if no refund is issued.
- If the subscription was purchased through Google Play, Apple App Store, or another third-party retailer, the refund must be requested from that seller, not Microsoft.
