    For Teams personal, recording a call does not automatically give you a saved transcription.

    Teams personal recording captures the audio, video, and screen sharing, and the recording appears in the meeting chat for 30 days. Teams personal also has live captions, but those are intended to be viewed during the meeting; Microsoft does not document a saved post-meeting transcript for personal meetings.

    To view the transcription for a Teams call or meeting:

    1. Open Teams.
    2. Go to Chat.
    3. Open the chat for that call or past meeting.
    4. Look for the recording link or open Recap if it appears.
