    Hello,

May I know where you are trying to access the files from, such as File Explorer, Microsoft 365, or OneDrive online?

Also, is the OneDrive icon visible in the Windows notification area?

    User's image

Right-click the OneDrive icon the taskbar, and go to Settings > Accounts.

If you have already signed in, click "Unlink this PC".

Once done, you will be asked to sign in to OneDrive.

    Re-link your Microsoft account again.

If you are still having issues, try resetting OneDrive by following the steps here-

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Update Windows
      • Select Start, type updates, and open Check for updates.
      • Install all available Windows updates.
    2. Update OneDrive
      • Press Windows key + R.
      • Enter %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\update and select OK.
      • Double-click OneDriveSetup.exe to install the latest version of OneDrive.
    3. Restart the computer
      • After Windows and OneDrive are updated, restart the PC.

If the issue is specifically error 0x80070005, OneDrive may not be updated correctly, or a Group Policy setting may be blocking Known Folder Move. In that case:

    1. Check the Group Policy setting
      • Select Start, type gpedit.msc, and open Local Group Policy Editor.
      • Go to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Desktop.
      • Double-click Prohibit User from manually redirecting Profile Folders.
      • Set it to Not Configured, then select OK.
      • Note: if this setting is enforced by an organization, the local setting will be overwritten.

    If direct help is needed:

    • For a personal Microsoft account, use Contact Microsoft Support and enter the problem, then select Get Help.
    • For a work or school account, contact the organization’s IT helpdesk, service desk, or admin.
    • Community help is also available through Ask the Microsoft Community.
