Good evening. I'm having an issue with the Microsoft Store—I can't add my Ukrainian card as a payment method.

Hi, I'm Bernard. I'm happy to help!

Is there any particular error message or code when you try to add your card? while waiting, try doing it from your account:

    Go to this link: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments

    Select "Add payment method"

Then follow the prompts to add

Note: If you encounter any issues, I recommend contacting your bank if there is any issue on their end. If there are no issues, you may reach Microsoft Accounts and Billing support by following the steps below:

    Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact

In the search bar, type in your issue, then hit Enter.

Scroll down to the bottom and select the blue button "Contact Support"

For a Microsoft Store payment method, the most common causes are country/region mismatch, incorrect billing details, bank-side blocking, or a past-due balance.

    Try these checks in order:

    1. Verify the card details exactly match the bank record:
      • card number
      • expiration date
      • name on the card
      • billing address, including city and postal code
    2. Check the country/region requirement:
      • For Microsoft business accounts, the payment method must be issued from the same country/region as the tenant.
      • A country/region mismatch can also cause Microsoft account card payments to be declined.
    3. Make sure the card is usable for the transaction:
      • sufficient funds or available credit
      • card is active
      • bank is not blocking the transaction
      • if applicable, the card is enabled for international transactions
    4. Check for a past-due balance:
      • On Microsoft accounts, an overdue subscription payment can block payment changes or purchases.
      • Review Services & subscriptions and pay any past-due amount.
    5. If the payment was declined in Microsoft Store, try these Store-specific steps:
      • delete and re-add the payment method
      • try a different payment method
    6. If the card still cannot be added, contact the bank first to ask whether any security or fraud controls are blocking Microsoft.
    7. If the bank confirms there is no block and the issue continues, contact Microsoft Support.
