Need help recovering my Microsoft account – recovery form rejected

Hello, I am unable to access my Microsoft account. The only recovery option available is not working, and I no longer remember the password. I have already submitted the recovery form multiple times, but each attempt was rejected. The account has also been inactive for a long time.

I am requesting escalation to manual verification so that I can regain access. Please advise on the next steps or connect me with the recovery team.

Thank you for your support.

Has this account been inactive for 2 years?

If so, unfortunately it has been permanently removed and it is not possible to recover or create a new account using the same email address.

Manual escalation for password reset or identity override is not available. Support agents are not allowed to send password reset links or access and change account details.

    Next steps:

    1. Use the Sign-in Helper first if the normal recovery path is not working, especially if the account is old or the verification options are no longer recognized.
    2. Submit the Account recovery form again, but improve the submission quality:
      • Use a device previously used to sign in to that account.
      • Submit from a familiar location such as home or office.
      • Provide a working contact email address that can receive the recovery result.
      • Gather any saved or older passwords before submitting.
    3. After submission, wait for the result email. Recovery results are sent to the working email address provided in the form within 24 hours.
    4. If the request is denied, retry with more accurate details. The form can be retried up to two times per day.

    Important limits:

    • If two-step verification was turned on and none of the alternate verification methods are accessible, recovery cannot be completed through support.
    • If the account recovery request was unsuccessful, the supported path is to keep retrying the recovery process with better account details.
    • If technical help is still needed, Contact Microsoft Support can be used for guidance, but not for bypassing account verification or manually resetting the account.
