    Hi there,

A friendly reminder that this is a user-to-user forum where users help other users. Experts or Advisors participating here cannot make changes to Microsoft services or access internal systems and can only provide technical guidance, irrespective of Microsoft's Policy decisions.

I will walk through a few steps with you. Some of these are just to help figure out what is wrong, not to fix it right away. So if nothing changes after a step, that is normal. I will keep going until we solve it.

    Please go to :

Take a screenshot of this page, and post in the next reply.

I look forward to hearing from you to get the results of the troubleshooting.

For a frozen OneDrive account, the direct path depends on whether the account is personal or work/school.

    1. First, sign in to OneDrive with the same Microsoft account that received the frozen message.
    2. Check storage usage and get back under the storage quota by deleting files or buying more storage.
    3. After making changes, allow up to two hours for the account status to update.
    4. If the account is still frozen after four hours, use Contact Microsoft Support.

    For personal Microsoft accounts:

    • Use Contact Microsoft Support and enter the problem to reach technical support.
    • On mobile, support can also be contacted from the OneDrive app by opening the app and gently shaking the device.
    • For account and subscription help, use Account & Billing Help.
    • Community support is also available through Microsoft Q&A, but avoid posting personal or sensitive information there.

If the issue is specifically tied to the recent Microsoft 365 Personal upgrade and the storage still has not updated correctly, the accepted support path is to go to the Microsoft support contact page, sign in, choose other products and technical support, confirm, and then choose OneDrive app support.

    For work or school accounts:

    • Contact the organization’s IT helpdesk, service desk, or admin.
