My Microsoft account ([Moderator's note: PII removed]@gmail.com) was hacked. The attacker removed my original Gmail and phone number, replacing them with their own email address.

Now, when I try to recover my account or use the standard sign-in, Microsoft says "That account doesn't exist" because my original email is no longer associated with it. However, I received the security notification about the email change in my original Gmail inbox, which proves the account existed and that the takeover happened.

I own Minecraft on this account and have purchase receipts. I cannot lose this account.

I have already tried the account recovery form and the standard support channels, but I am not receiving responses. I need a human agent to review my case. I have access to the security notification emails showing the unauthorized changes. Please help me recover my account and remove the attacker's information.

    Hello clove144hz

Thank you for reaching out, and I’m truly sorry to hear that your account has been hacked. I understand how stressful and upsetting it can be to lose access to an account, especially when it may contain important emails, files, subscriptions, or personal information.

Unfortunately, as community moderators, we do not have access to Microsoft accounts and cannot view account details, verify ownership, reset passwords, recover accounts, or make any changes on a user's behalf. For privacy and security reasons, we also do not have any tools that would allow us to intervene in the account recovery process.

While I understand this may not be the answer you were hoping for, the best course of action is to follow Microsoft's official account recovery guidance. The support article below provides the recommended steps to secure and recover a hacked or compromised account:

The article will walk you through securing your account, reviewing recent activity, updating your security information, and working through the recovery process if you can no longer sign in.

You can also try to reach out to Microsoft Support team directly by:

    • Go to Contact Us - Microsoft Support
    • Select Microsoft 365
    • Click Get Home Support
    • Type a brief description of your issue in the search box.
    • Click Get Help and select Contact Support below.
    • Go to the Products and services tab and choose the appropriate product.
    • On the Category tab, choose the appropriate category or an alternative option.
    • Go to Confirm. Look for and select "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" (during business hours) if available. Explain your situation clearly.

I sincerely apologize that we cannot provide more direct assistance in this situation. I know how concerning account security issues can be, and I hope the guidance in the article helps you regain access to your account as quickly as possible. Wishing you the very best with the recovery process.
