I was billed twice for the same product. $142.21 was charged to my Visa two times on September 15, 2026 for the renewal of Microsoft 365. I only renewed it once.

You need to remove $142.21 charge from my account.

Thank you,

This is a public forum, so for your privacy and security, we can’t help with billing issues here. Also, no one in this forum has access to your account or payment information.

To get help, open the "Get Help" app on your computer (just search for it in the Start menu). or go to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus, Type "Billing" and press Enter. On the next screen, click "Contact support" at the bottom of the page, then choose "Microsoft 365" > "Manage my subscription". You’ll then see the option to chat with a Microsoft support agent who has access to your account to help review the issue.

    1. Check whether this is a true duplicate charge in Microsoft order history. Sign in and review your order history for multiple purchases of the same amount close together: Review your order history.
    2. If only one charge appears in order history, check whether the same card is being used by another Microsoft account or a family member. Go to Microsoft account Payment options and select Investigate: Go to payment options.
    3. Also check Services & subscriptions to confirm the Microsoft 365 renewal status and whether recurring billing is active.
    4. If the charge is not recognized or still appears duplicated after those checks, use Microsoft support: Contact Microsoft Support, enter the problem, select Get Help, then Contact Support.
    5. If there is any chance the card details were compromised, contact the bank or payment provider immediately to prevent additional charges.

Possible reasons listed by Microsoft for what looks like a double charge include:

    • a previously declined payment being retried and then succeeding close to the next on-time payment
    • multiple subscription periods being purchased
    • another Microsoft account using the same card
    • recurring billing on a subscription
