Need help with cloud storage. I have tried to buy more, (and paid for it) but it doesn't seem to be completed. Thus, (I think) I have no room to create a Recycle Bin and CANNOT delete selected files. HELP! (The cloud recycle bin is EMPTY).

Sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with this situation. Could you please share a bit more information about what happens when you try to purchase the additional storage? Do you receive any error message? If so, please share a screenshot of the error so I can better understand what is happening.

Also, please let me know how you are trying to make the purchase. Are you purchasing the additional storage directly from Microsoft, or through a third-party provider?

Additionally, please sign in to the following page and let me know what subscription or storage information you see there:

If additional storage was purchased and it is not showing yet, the supported next steps are:

    1. Open Manage storage and refresh the page.
    2. Wait up to 24 hours for the new quota to appear. If it still has not updated, try again after 48 hours.
    3. If the storage still is not visible after 24 hours, unlink and relink the OneDrive account.
    4. Check storage usage and quota by signing in to the Microsoft storage page and reviewing the Microsoft storage section.
    5. In OneDrive, review what is taking space and delete large files that are no longer needed. Items in the OneDrive Recycle Bin also count toward storage usage.
    6. If the Recycle Bin is already empty and storage is still full, review large files and camera roll content such as videos, screenshots, and saved images.
    7. If the quota still has not updated after 48 hours, contact support.

    Relevant limits and behavior:

    • OneDrive files can become read-only when the storage quota is exceeded.
    • If OneDrive is over quota, uploading, editing, or syncing new files is blocked until usage is reduced or the quota updates.
    • Purchased additional OneDrive storage can take up to 24 hours to show, and support is recommended if it has not updated after 48 hours.
