Try these steps in order on Windows 11:
- Power cycle the printer.
- Turn the Epson ET-2850 off.
- Unplug it for 30 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
- Confirm the printer connection.
- Since Wi-Fi was already checked, make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the PC.
- If the printer has a wireless connectivity test in its menu, run it.
- If multiple routers, extenders, or separate SSIDs are in use, make sure the PC and printer are on the same network.
- Check the printer itself for a hardware error state.
- If Windows shows Printer in error state, check for low paper or ink.
- Make sure the cover is fully closed.
- Check for any paper jam.
- Restart the Print Spooler service.
- Press Windows key + R.
- Type services.msc and press Enter.
- Find Print Spooler.
- Right-click it and select Restart.
- Remove and reinstall the printer.
- Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select the Epson printer and choose Remove.
- Then select Add device and let Windows find it again.
- If it appears, add it back and try printing.
- Restart the PC.
- This can refresh the Windows services and components used to communicate with the printer.
If the printer is listed but still fails after reinstalling, print a test page from Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners after adding it again.
