My payment cannot proceed. Before this my personal number has been hack. Then i change a new number phone and since then, i cannot pay from my subscription.

I have updated the payment method, updated my card, and called my bank customer services. they said the payment cannot proceed because of the restriction from Microsoft 365 itself.

Please help me because my payment has been passing the due. Thank you for your attention and help.

Hello, good day and thanks for your question. Sorry to know about this. If your card is up to date and you have also verified that it is working for other purchase that you made online, please check and try this on a different browser or by using inPrivate or Incognito browsing and another alternative is to link your card to PayPal and use it as payment method. Please see below for other things that you can also check with regards to this issue.

    • Enter your name precisely as it appears on the card and only include your middle initial if it appears on your card.
    • If this is a company card, enter the company name as both a first name and last name. For example, if the company name is "My Company" you may split the company name into the first and last name fields.
    • If the company only has one name, for example, "Company," enter the company name in both the first and last name fields.
    • If you are asked to enter the address and it exceeds the Address 1 field, use the Address 2 field and do not shorten or abbreviate your address.
    • The card number and type cannot be edited, so if you make a mistake, you'll need to add a new one with the correct information. Other credit card information can be edited, such as billing address and expiration date.
    • Other factors such as, card issuer fraud block, 3-D Secure/online payment restriction, family-card name mismatch, temporary authorization hold, or regional/payment-method limitations can also affect this.

If you will still encounter an issue even after trying out the alternatives, you can reach out to the support team at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus/ and then click on Microsoft 365 and then click Get Home Support and then type in Billing question and click the blue button that says Sign in to contact Support and login and proceed from there.

    Try this in order:

    1. Go to Services & subscriptions: https://account.microsoft.com/services
    2. Sign in with the Microsoft account that owns the subscription.
    3. Find the past-due subscription.
      • If Pay now appears, select it and complete the payment.
      • If Manage > Change how you pay appears, select it and choose the updated card or Add a new way to pay.
    4. If the subscription was bought through a third-party retailer, payment method changes must be handled through that provider instead.
    5. If Microsoft still does not accept the payment after the card was updated and the bank confirmed the card is valid:
      • Sign out of active sessions.
      • Try again in a private/incognito browser session.
      • Refresh the browser, try another browser, or clear cached cookies.
    6. If the payment remains blocked, contact Microsoft Support through Contact Support and route the issue to Accounts and Billing.

Important details supported by Microsoft guidance:

    • A past-due subscription can block normal payment method changes until Pay now is completed.
    • If recurring billing is off, Change how you pay might not appear.
    • Some banks require extra identity verification before a transaction is approved, so Microsoft account contact details should also be kept up to date.
    • If payment was already submitted successfully, status notifications can take up to 24 hours to sync across services.
