Business-Critical Account Lockout – Request to Change Severity from C to A

We are currently unable to sign in to our Microsoft 365 tenant/admin account. The issue is affecting our business operations, and we are unable to access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center or manage our tenant.

We have already attempted the recommended troubleshooting steps, including authentication/MFA verification, but we continue to receive the error:

“We ran into a problem. Please try again. Go back and try again.”

We have an existing support case currently classified as Severity C. However, this issue is directly impacting our business because we are unable to access our administrator account and perform essential Microsoft 365 administration.

Could a Microsoft support engineer please review the case and escalate the severity from C to Severity A, or advise us on the fastest available escalation path for a business-critical account lockout?

    Dear PBX Technologies,

Thank you for providing the details of your situation. I fully understand the urgency, particularly as the inability to access your Microsoft 365 administrator account is affecting your business operations.

As you already have an active Microsoft Support case, I recommend continuing to work directly with the Support Engineer assigned to your case. Although the case is currently categorized as Severity C, this does not mean that you should discontinue working with the assigned engineer on the underlying sign-in and administrator access issue.

Please continue to provide the support engineer with the latest troubleshooting results and clearly communicate the current business impact, including your inability to access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and perform essential administrative tasks. You may also request that the engineer review the case severity and advise you of the most appropriate escalation path based on the circumstances and impact of the issue.

As this is a community support forum, I am unable to modify the severity of an existing Microsoft Support case from Severity C to Severity A. Therefore, continuing to work through your existing support case is the most appropriate course of action rather than creating a duplicate case.

I sincerely hope your administrator access can be restored as soon as possible. Greatly appreciate again for your patience and understanding.
