Problem resolved. The confusion was due to there being two identical icons for Outlook on my new PC.
The one I selected appeared to be for Personal and/or new accounts and didn't challenge me for my credentials so I got nowhere.
When I opened Settings and selected the other Outlook icon, it recognized me immediately and downloaded all my emails.
Very confusing at first but the rest of my setup was flawless.
Could you please share a little more information about what happens when you try to sign in on the new computer? Are you trying to access Outlook through a web browser at Outlook.com, or through the Outlook desktop application?
What happens after you enter your email address and password? Do you receive any error message or verification request? Are you still able to access the same Outlook account from your old computer, phone, or another device?
If you receive an error, please share a screenshot of it, making sure to hide your email address and any other personal information.
