My son has been hacked and the email and password has been changed

I’m sorry to hear that your son’ s Microsoft account has been compromised and that the sign-in and recovery information was changed.

Since you can no longer access the account, please use Microsoft’s account sign-in helper and enter your son’s original email address or phone number: Microsoft account sign-in helper. It will guide you through the available recovery options and may offer the option to contact a support agent.

If prompted, complete the account recovery form with as much accurate information as possible, such as previous passwords, devices used, Xbox details, purchases, subscriptions, and recent email information. The account remaining visible in the Microsoft Family app does not by itself allow the family organizer to reset its password or recovery information.

Please also run a full malware scan on devices your son used and change the passwords of any other accounts that used the same password.
