how do I make a manual payment for my Microsoft 365 account

My Microsoft 365 bill was due on 9/8. Microsoft billed my bank account 8 times for the same charge. My bank declined the charges thinking it was fraud. They have closed my card that was associated for my payment for my Microsoft 365 billing. I changed the billing method on Microsoft 365 several weeks ago, but I keep getting notifications that the bill is past due. How can I make a manual payment to get my account up to date?

    Hi, @Rosemary Caravetta

What exactly does the subscription show under the Services page right now?

If this subscription was purchased directly from Microsoft, first check it here: https://account.microsoft.com/services

Find the Microsoft 365 subscription and see whether it shows "Past due" or gives you an option such as "Pay now," "Retry payment," or "Change how you pay."

When you changed the payment method, does the new card now appear as the payment method for this specific Microsoft 365 subscription?

For a personal Microsoft 365 subscription, make the payment from Services & subscriptions:

    1. Go to Services & subscriptions at https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the Microsoft account that owns the subscription.
    2. Find the Microsoft 365 subscription that shows past due.
    3. Select Pay now.
    4. Check the payment method shown there.
      • If the old card is still listed or expired, update it or add a new payment method.
      • Then select Next to submit the payment.

If recurring billing is on, another path is:

    1. In Services & subscriptions, select Manage for the subscription.
    2. Select Change how you pay.
    3. Add a new way to pay if needed.
    4. If the subscription is already past due, use Pay now instead.

Since the card was closed after the bank declined repeated charges, also verify the new payment method is fully updated and valid. If Microsoft 365 apps are showing an Account Notice or billing warning, check Payment options at https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments and update any payment method that shows an error.

If the payment was already updated but the warning still appears, first confirm there is no remaining balance on Services & subscriptions. Payment status can take up to 24 hours to fully sync across services.
