If "Recipient Fax" appears when trying to print, Windows is likely using the Fax printer/driver instead of the actual printer.
Try these checks:
- Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select the printer that should print the document.
- Confirm it shows Online.
- When printing, make sure the selected printer is the real printer and not Fax or Recipient Fax.
If the goal is to use fax features from Office apps, Windows Fax support depends on Windows Fax and Scan being enabled:
- Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
- Select Turn Windows features on or off.
- Under Print and Document Services, check Windows Fax and Scan.
- Select OK.
If printing still opens fax instead of the printer, remove and reinstall the printer:
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select the affected printer.
- Select Remove.
- Add it again with Add device or Add a printer or scanner.
- If needed, restart Print Spooler from services.msc.
If this happens only with scanned files, also verify the printer software is installed correctly.
