Can't move filtered list of emails from my Deleted Items folder to the On my Computer > Deleted Items folder

I'm using Outlook for Mac Version 16.113 (26091433). For many years I've been able to move a filtered list of emails from my Deleted Items folder to the On my Computer > Deleted Items folder to reduce the number of emails in my Deleted Items folder.

I am no longer able to do this - when I select all the emails to move in the Deleted Items folder and try to drag them across to the On my Computer > Deleted Items folder nothing happens. I can't 'select' the On my Computer > Deleted Items folder as it doesn't highlight. I tried using the right click > Move > Choose Folder and the emails didn't move either.

This seems like a basic feature that used to work.

    Dear AndrewD,

If you're using New Outlook for Mac, please note that local On My Computer folders have undergone significant changes compared to Legacy Outlook, and some move operations between server folders and local folders may behave differently than they did previously.

Since both drag-and-drop and Move > Choose Folder are not working, and the destination folder does not highlight when selected, could you please confirm:

    • Whether the issue occurs when moving a single email instead of a filtered bulk selection?
    • Whether you can move messages to a newly created folder under On My Computer?
    • Whether the behavior persists after clearing the filter from the Deleted Items folder?
    • Try to create a new Outlook profile and verify whether the behavior occurs there as well.

If none of these tests work, the issue may be related to a recent change or regression in Outlook for Mac Version 16.113 (26091433) rather than the specific folder itself.

As a workaround, you may also want to test the same operation in Legacy Outlook (if available) to determine whether the issue is specific to New Outlook.

    Looking forward to your update.
