Microsoft Account Compromised, No response, chat function nowhere to be found

I had an account that is attached to my email get completely stolen and changed to an absolutely absurd email address about a month and a half ago. Normally, I wouldn't really care whatsoever but this email was still attached to my Xbox account. Now all of my digital games and original data are completely inaccessible.

I put in a compromised account request - got no response back. I was able to chat with a tech right when this all happened and provided the device ID to my most recent Xbox. Was able to get through recently to another chat person who looped me back into the original person, but I haven't received any support number or even a denial at this point. I literally have the 3 generations of Xbox's I have played on literally since creating my Microsoft/Xbox account, and would happily provide literally all the information on those.

I just really think its insane how difficult it is to get past any type of AI at this point - seems like a super recent change.

Long rant short:
Is there literally any other way to contact an actual human being besides being looped around in their absolute dog water of "Contact Microsoft Support" that just links me to broken links and useless knowledge articles?

Yes. The supported paths to a real person are limited, but there are only two official routes for a personal Microsoft account/Xbox-linked account issue:

    1. Use the Microsoft Sign-in Helper first. It checks the account state and either gives self-help steps or offers the chance to talk to an agent.
    2. If support contact is available, use the Microsoft support flow on the support site:
      • Open Get Help on the web
      • Enter the issue, such as compromised account or account recovery
      • Select Contact Support if it appears
      • For product/service, choose Other Products
      • For category, choose Manage account security
      • Look for chat with a support agent in your web browser or a callback option if offered

    Important limits:

    • Support agents are not allowed to send password reset links or directly access and change account details.
    • If two-step verification is enabled and none of the alternate verification methods are accessible, support cannot bypass that.
    • If the recovery form was submitted, the result is sent to the working email entered on that form, and Microsoft states responses are typically sent within 24 hours.

For a hacked account, the documented recovery sequence is:

    1. Run a full malware scan on the PC before changing anything.
    2. Change or reset the password if sign-in is still possible.
    3. Review account settings such as connected accounts, forwarding, and automatic replies.

If the account is still not accessible, the official guidance is to continue through the Sign-in Helper and, if available there or on the support site, use the agent/chat path above.
