Hi Wayde Burkes,
Before trying to delete anything manually, please open Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Protection history and check the status of the seven detections.
If an item says Quarantined, Removed, or Cleaned, Windows Security has already taken action on it. If you see Action needed, open that item and choose the recommended action, such as Quarantine or Remove. Do not select Allow on device unless you are certain the file is safe.
Next, install any available Windows and security intelligence updates. Then return to Virus & threat protection > Scan options and run a Full scan. If the detections remain or return after restarting the laptop, save your open work and run Microsoft Defender Antivirus (offline scan) from the same Scan options page. The computer will restart during this scan.
You can find Microsoft’s instructions here:
- Virus and threat protection in the Windows Security app
- Troubleshoot problems with detecting and removing malware
Please also let me know which version of Windows the laptop is running and what status appears beside the seven detections in Protection history. A screenshot would help, but please cover any email address, device name, file path containing your username, or other personal information before posting it. Thank you so much for your understanding.
