Hello,
You will no longer be able to reset the 'Local account Password' using Windows Hello.
Instead, you will have to create a 'New Local Admin Account' and reset the password for your Local account from there.
To do that,
- Type "Netplwiz" in the search bar on the taskbar and press Enter.
- Click Add > Sign in without a Microsoft account (Not recommended) > Local account.
- Create a new username and password.
- Then, go back to the User Accounts page, select the new local user you created > select Properties > click the 'Group Membership' tab and set this user as Administrator.
Now,
- Sign out and sign in to the new Local Admin profile you created.
- Open Netplwiz >> select the Old user profile, and click 'Reset Password'.
- Set a new Password for your Old user profile.
Then,
- Sign out and sign in to the Old Local User profile. (Sign in with the new password you created).
- Type sysdm.cpl and click Ok.
- Navigate to the Advanced tab and delete the new Local profile you created.
- Then go back to the Netplwiz window and delete the new local profile there as well.
