Using Outlook for Android for personal email and calendar management
Hello RD,
This may be caused by Outlook opening the appointment editor over the calendar instead of keeping the daily schedule visible. It may also happen if the shared calendar is no longer selected in the calendar list.
Please try the options below and check whether the issue continues:
- Open Calendar first, then make sure both your calendar and the shared calendar are checked in the left pane. Select Day or Week view so the existing appointments are visible before choosing a free time.
- If both calendars appear side by side, select Overlay to combine them into one view. This makes it easier to spot appointments from either calendar.
- Instead of clicking Add an appointment, click an empty time slot directly on the shared calendar. When the appointment window opens, confirm that the correct shared calendar is selected in the calendar drop-down.
- If the appointment window covers the schedule completely, try creating the appointment through Outlook on the web, where the calendar may remain visible beside the event form.
If existing appointments are missing even before opening the appointment form, remove and re-add the shared calendar or ask your husband to share it again with editing permission.
Please let me know how it goes after trying these steps, and I'll be glad to continue looking into it with you.
