How to delete permission to share a folder on OneDrive Personal that applies to anyone.

Deleting an ‘Anyone with the link’ sharing link on my own folder appears to succeed, but the link immediately reappears after confirmation and refresh. How do I delete such a permission permanently?

    For a OneDrive Personal folder, an “Anyone with the link” permission can be removed from the folder's sharing settings:

    Go to OneDrive.com and sign in.

    1. Open My files and select only the affected folder.
    2. Select Manage access.
    3. Open the Links section.
    4. Locate the Anyone with the link entry.
    5. Select Remove link and confirm the deletion.

    Since you mentioned that the link disappears but immediately reappears after refreshing, I would first test this directly from OneDrive on the web in an InPrivate/Incognito window, rather than through File Explorer or the OneDrive desktop application. You can also try another browser to rule out cached OneDrive web data.

    As an additional test, if you do not need to preserve any other sharing permissions on that folder, you can use Stop sharing from Manage access.
