HELP ME GET MY ACCOUNT BACK PLEASE

I am honestly beyond frustrated and upset with Microsoft at this point. I have been trying over and over again to recover my Microsoft account, and I feel like I am getting absolutely nowhere. I have provided information about myself and my account to prove that I am the actual owner, yet I am STILL being denied access. I genuinely do not understand what else I am supposed to provide.

I understand that Microsoft has security procedures in place to protect people’s accounts. I completely understand that. But there comes a point where the recovery process becomes so difficult and unreasonable that the actual account owner is the person who ends up suffering because of it. That is exactly what is happening to me right now.

The biggest issue is that I no longer have access to the phone number that is attached to my Microsoft account. I got a new phone and a completely new phone number. I cannot magically receive a verification code on a phone number that I no longer have. I have explained this. I have tried the account recovery process. I have submitted information about myself and my account. I have tried everything I can think of, and somehow I am STILL being treated like I am trying to break into somebody else’s account.

I am not trying to steal an account. I am not trying to access someone else’s information. THIS IS MY ACCOUNT.

And what makes this so much more upsetting is that this isn’t just some random Microsoft account that I don’t care about. I have YEARS of memories and things connected to this account, including Minecraft. I have a Minecraft Realm connected to this Microsoft account, and that Realm contains a city that I worked incredibly hard on.

There are builds on that Realm that are extremely meaningful to me. My former best friend built things on that Realm. I built things on that Realm. We put time, creativity, memories, and HOURS into that world. This isn’t something I can just replace by creating another Microsoft account and starting over.

I can’t just say, “Oh well, I’ll make a new account.” That doesn’t bring my Realm back. That doesn’t bring back the city I spent so much time creating. That doesn’t bring back the builds my former best friend made. That doesn’t bring back all of the memories associated with that world.

I am genuinely heartbroken and angry that I could potentially lose all of this simply because I changed my phone number.

I have spent so much time trying to prove that this account belongs to me. I have given information that I know about the account. I have followed the recovery process. I have tried again when I was denied. I have looked for other ways to verify myself. I have done everything I possibly know how to do, and I keep hitting the same wall.

What am I supposed to do differently?

If the automated recovery system isn’t accepting the information I am providing, then I need an actual person to look at my situation. I need someone to understand that I am the legitimate owner who lost access to an old phone number — NOT someone attempting to gain access to an account that isn’t theirs.

It is incredibly upsetting to feel like there is no path forward. I am willing to provide whatever legitimate information I can to verify ownership. I am willing to answer questions about the account. I am willing to go through additional verification. I just need someone to actually HELP me instead of repeatedly sending me through the same recovery process that keeps failing.

I know account security is important. I know Microsoft cannot just hand accounts over to anyone who asks for them. But there also needs to be a way for legitimate owners to recover their accounts when their circumstances change. People get new phone numbers. People lose access to old email addresses. Phones get replaced. Life happens. That should not mean that years of personal data, purchases, games, worlds, and memories suddenly become inaccessible forever.

I am so tired of feeling like I have to keep proving that I am me.

I am frustrated. I am angry. I am genuinely upset. And honestly, I am scared that the longer this goes on, the more likely it is that I will permanently lose access to everything connected to this account.

Please stop sending me in circles and actually look into my account recovery situation.

I need help recovering MY Microsoft account.

I need someone to review the information I have already provided and tell me specifically what additional information is needed to verify that I am the owner. If the old phone number is the problem, please understand that I NO LONGER HAVE THAT NUMBER because I got a new phone and a new phone number. There needs to be another legitimate way for me to verify my identity and ownership.

I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking for a reasonable way to regain access to something that belongs to me.

I have worked way too hard on my Minecraft Realm to just sit here and watch everything disappear because I changed my phone number.

Please, PLEASE have an actual support representative review this instead of automatically rejecting my recovery attempts. I am willing to do what I need to do. I just need Microsoft to give me an actual chance to prove that this is my account.

Because right now, I feel like I have tried absolutely everything, and I am being punished for simply no longer having access to an old phone number.

I am begging for someone to actually help me resolve this.

If access was lost only because the old phone number is no longer available, the supported paths depend on the account type and security setup:

    1. If this is a work or school account and the password is still known:
      • Go to the Advanced security options page.
      • Select Add a new way to sign in or verify.
      • Verify the new email or phone.
      • Remove the old security method.
      • Do not replace all security info at once, because the account can be restricted for 30 days.
    2. If this is a work or school account and the password is known but all security info is unavailable:
      • Start sign-in.
      • At Verify your identity, select I don't have any of these.
      • Follow the steps to replace security info.
      • After replacement, there is a 30-day wait before sign-in is allowed.
    3. If this is a personal Microsoft account:
      • Use the Sign-in Helper first. It is the recommended first step for sign-in and recovery issues.
      • If recovery options are not recognized, or password reset cannot be completed, use the account recovery form.
      • Complete the form from a device and location previously used with the account if possible.
      • Provide a working contact email for the recovery request.
      • Gather and enter as much historical account information as possible. For Outlook/Hotmail, exact email subject lines and contact details can help. For Skype, Skype ID, contacts, recent purchases can help. For Xbox, the hardware ID of a frequently used console can help. Old passwords may also help.
      • Microsoft reviews recovery form answers and responds within 24 hours.
    4. If two-step verification is enabled on a personal Microsoft account and none of the alternate verification methods are accessible:
      • There is no supported recovery path through support agents. Support agents are not allowed to send password reset links or change account details.
    5. If the account may have been compromised:
      • Use the hacked account sign-in helper tool.
      • Before changing the password, run a full antivirus scan on the PC.
      • Then change or reset the password if sign-in becomes possible.
    6. For additional assistance:
      • Use Contact Microsoft Support, enter the problem, select Get Help, and then Contact Support if that option is shown.
      • Support can route to the best support option, but account protection rules still apply: support agents cannot send password reset links or directly change account details.

For a Minecraft Realm tied to a personal Microsoft account, the supported recovery path remains the Microsoft account recovery process above. The key actions are: use Sign-in Helper first, then submit the account recovery form with the strongest historical account details available, from a familiar device and location.
