    Hi, Hermine

Reinstalling Outlook can change how the app looks, but your emails and folders should return once the correct account is added and synced.

First, open Outlook and tap your profile picture, then "Settings." Check which email account is currently added and make sure it is the same account you were using before.

Also, if this is an Outlook.com, Hotmail, or Live account, sign in at https://outlook.live.com/mail and check whether the missing emails and folders are visible there.

If the issue still persists, to help narrow down the issue:

    1. What is the ending of your email address, for example @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, Gmail, or another provider?
    2. Are all of your emails and folders visible when you sign in through the web?
    3. In the Outlook app, does it show the same email address you were using before?

Click "Add comment" to let me know.

    Thanks!

    Try this in order:

    1. Open the Outlook app and check whether the account is added correctly.
      • Go to Settings in Outlook.
      • Tap the account.
      • If the account is not syncing, tap Reset Account.
    2. Check whether calendar and contacts sync are enabled.
      • In Outlook, go to Calendar and tap the three lines in the upper-left corner.
      • Under the email accounts list, make sure Calendar is selected.
      • On Android, open Settings > Applications > Outlook and make sure Contacts is enabled.
      • Then open Outlook > Settings > tap the account > turn on Sync Contacts.
    3. Make sure the account was added as Exchange and not IMAP or POP.
      • IMAP and POP can sync email only. They do not sync calendar, contacts, or related items.
      • On Android, go to Settings > Accounts > tap Exchange > tap the email address.
      • Make sure Sync Calendar is enabled.
      • If the account shows as IMAP, remove it and add it again as Exchange or Exchange ActiveSync.
    4. If Outlook still does not show the expected mail and items, delete and re-add the account.
      • In Outlook, go to Settings > tap the account > Delete Account > Delete From This Device.
      • Then add the account again.
      • If prompted to set it up as IMAP, the email provider may not support calendar and contacts sync in Outlook mobile.
    5. If email works on a computer but not on the phone, the issue may be with the mobile app setup.
      • Microsoft recommends using Outlook for Android for easier email, calendar, and contacts management.
    6. If the Outlook icon itself is missing from the phone home screen, Outlook may be installed but the shortcut may have been removed. Reinstalling the app restores the app, but the account may still need to be added again and configured with the correct sync type.

If the account used to sync before and now stopped, see Fix Outlook.com email sync issues. If the account is a work or school Microsoft 365 account, contact the Microsoft 365 admin or technical support.
