    1

Log into any Microsoft account you may have on this link to check the expiry date on the Microsoft 365 subscription and to check if you have two separate subscriptions.

    https://account.microsoft.com/services/

Then open Word on your PC, go to File - Account, on that link you will see the Email address of the Microsoft account you are using for Office.

If you find two separate subscriptions, on the account with the second subscription, select Manage on the subscription and you can cancel it form there, ensuring you do not cancel the subscription on the account listed in Word.

If you are unable to find two separate subscriptions, using any Microsoft account you may have, try using the steps they provide on this link to find out what that second payment was for.

Then use the steps they provide on this link to cancel whatever that second payment was for and get a refund.

If you are still unable to resolve that second payment problem, this forum is just a user to user forum, no-one here has any account access, you will need to contact Microsoft Support directly, try using this method to contact their support.

    Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

    Select Microsoft 365

    Click 'Get Home Support'.

In the box provided, type billing.

Press Enter, then on the next page, scroll down and click 'Sign in to Contact Support'.

Navigate to Microsoft 365 and Office - Manage my Subscription.

Select the 'Chat with support agent in web browser' option

This usually means the charge is tied to a different Microsoft account, or the subscription was bought through a third party and therefore will not appear under the current account.

    Steps to check:

    1. Go to the Microsoft account Services & subscriptions page and sign in with the account currently being used.
      • If the Microsoft 365 subscription appears there with options like Manage, Cancel, or Change payment, that subscription is billed by Microsoft.
      • If the charge is not reflected there, sign out and repeat with any other Microsoft accounts that may have been used, including alternate Outlook, Hotmail, Live, or Gmail-based Microsoft accounts.
    2. Check the Microsoft account order history for the $107.42 charge.
      • If the charge appears under a different account, that is the account that owns the subscription.
    3. If the subscription was purchased through Apple, Google, Amazon, or another retailer, billing must be managed with that provider directly. Microsoft cannot cancel, refund, or modify billing for third-party subscriptions.
    4. If the charge is not recognized on any account, use the Manage your payments page and select Investigate to look into the billing charge.
    5. Since the visible subscription already shows an expiration date of March 25, 2027, check whether the new charge is:
      • a second subscription on another account,
      • a renewal on a different account,
      • or a charge from a family member using the same payment method.

If the charge came directly from Microsoft but still does not appear under any account, contact Microsoft Support and provide the payment date, amount, and receipt details privately.
