To check why two $9.99 charges are appearing in the same month:
- Review order history and look for multiple purchases for the same amount that appear close together. Review your order history
- If duplicate charges do not appear there, go to Microsoft account Payment options and select Investigate to check whether another Microsoft account is using the same card. Go to payment options
- Common reasons for what looks like double billing include:
- a previously declined payment being charged again
- recurring billing on a subscription
- another account or family member using the same payment method
- If the subscription was cancelled, a charge can still happen if cancellation was made too close to the billing date. Cancellations must be more than 2 days before the billing date. Check the subscription end date in Services & subscriptions: https://account.microsoft.com/services
- If help is still needed, use Microsoft Support and select Get Help, then Contact Support. Contact Microsoft Support
If the payment method may be compromised, contact the bank or payment provider to prevent additional charges.
