    Hi,

I will walk through a few steps with you. Some of these are just to help figure out what is wrong, not to fix it right away. So if nothing changes after a step, that is normal. I will keep going until we solve it.

Please go to https://onedrive.live.com/?v=managestorage&sw=bypassConfig page. Share a screenshot of this page and please post in the next reply. Our next steps depend on the output.

I look forward to hearing from you to get the results of the troubleshooting.

This usually happens for one of these reasons:

    1. OneDrive is signed in with a different Microsoft account than the one that has the 1 TB subscription.
    2. The storage quota has not refreshed yet after a subscription change, renewal, or added storage.
    3. A shared folder in OneDrive is counting against the account’s storage.
    4. Items in the OneDrive Recycle Bin are still using storage.
    5. A subscription or promotional storage benefit expired.

    Try this in order:

    1. Check that the Microsoft 365 subscription is active on the same Microsoft account used in OneDrive.
      • Open the Microsoft account services page and confirm the subscription is active.
      • Then check the Microsoft storage area in the account dashboard to confirm the quota and usage.
    2. Check OneDrive storage details.
      • In OneDrive on the web, open Manage your OneDrive storage.
      • Review what is taking space and empty the Recycle Bin if needed.
    3. Verify the signed-in account in the OneDrive app.
      • Select the OneDrive cloud icon in the taskbar.
      • Go to Help & Settings > Settings > Account.
      • Confirm the account shown there is the same account that owns the 1 TB plan.
    4. If the account is wrong, unlink and sign in again with the correct account.
      • In OneDrive > Settings > Account, select Unlink this PC.
      • Sign in again with the Microsoft 365 account that has the 1 TB storage.
      • Unlinking does not delete files stored online.
    5. If the account is correct, wait up to 24 hours for the storage quota to update.
      • If it still shows full after that, unlink and relink OneDrive to refresh the app.

Important effects of being over quota:

    • New files cannot be uploaded, edited, or synced.
    • Existing files remain available but become read-only.
    • If the account stays over quota for a long period, OneDrive can eventually be frozen or files may be deleted.

If the web account dashboard shows the correct 1 TB quota and low usage, but the OneDrive app still says storage is full after waiting and relinking, use Contact Microsoft Support from the support page.
