    Hi ,

Search for msinfo32.exe in the search bar, take a screenshot, and post it here so we can see the correct laptop model or desktop configuration.

Can you access Device Manager, take a screenshot, and post it here?

    Thanks.

    Welcome Tina Cribb,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand that your Windows 11 laptop shows "No output device found" and "No input device found," resulting in both audio and microphone functionality being unavailable.

    Could you please confirm:

    • Did this start after a Windows update, driver update, or any recent system change?
    • In Device Manager, do you see any warning icons next to Sound, video and game controllers or Audio inputs and outputs?

In the meantime, you can try these steps:

Option 1: Check the Windows Audio services

    • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter
    • Locate Windows Audio
    • Verify its status is Running
    • If it is stopped, right-click it and select Start
    • Also verify Windows Audio Endpoint Builder is Running

Option 2: Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter

    • Open Command Prompt as Administrator
    • Run: msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic
    • Follow the on-screen prompts

Option 3: Reinstall the audio driver

    • Right-click Start and select Device Manager
    • Expand Sound, video and game controllers
    • Right-click the audio device and select Uninstall device
    • Restart the PC and allow Windows to reinstall the driver

Option 4: Check for system file corruption

    • Open Command Prompt as Administrator
    • Run: sfc /scannow
    • After it completes, run: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
