I am writing to ask for help on my account that has been compromised. I received a security notification about unauthorised activity or changes on my primary account sent to my secondary backup email address

Unfortunately, I cannot remember my full primary username or email address to log in.

I can see that my email is being accessed in [Removed]

    Hello Mc Genesis De Vera

I see that you received a security alert about unauthorized activity on your Microsoft account, but you cannot sign in because you do not remember the full email address.

    I recommend trying these steps:

    1. Do not use any button in the notification email. Open the Microsoft username lookup page directly and enter the backup email address. After verification, Microsoft should show a masked hint of the associated username.
    2. Once the account is identified, use the Microsoft Account Sign-in Helper and follow the option for a hacked or compromised account.
    3. If access is restored, open Microsoft account security, change the password, and review recent activity. Mark any unfamiliar activity as This wasn’t me or select Secure your account.
    4. Run a full security scan on any device previously used with the account.

If you cannot identify the full email address or provide enough information to verify that the account belongs to you, I’m afraid the chances of restoring access will be very limited.

For further assistance, please go to Contact Microsoft Support, enter your problem and select Get Help. Then scroll down and select Sign in to contact Support to be routed to the best support option and the support team can review the account-specific details and guide you through the available recovery options. Please note that account ownership must be verified before assistance can be provided.

Since this is a user-to-user forum, so community members cannot access or change account details. We can only share suggestions based on our findings and personal experiences.

    Tips:

    • Support chat availability may vary by country/region, product, and support hours. If you can't get in touch with a chat agent right away, trying again later or at a different time may help.
    • If the support page directs you to the automated assistant, type “I need a live agent” in the chat.
