Hi, I'm Bernard. I'm happy to help!

To change your phone number, go to this link: https://account.microsoft.com/profile

    Sign in to your account

    Select "Edit account info"

Remove your old phone number and add the new one

For creating the same email address, no, you cannot create a second Microsoft Account with the same email address.

If this is a Microsoft 365 admin account, update the phone number in the Microsoft 365 admin center:

    1. Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center and sign in.
    2. Go to Users > Active users.
    3. Select the admin account.
    4. Under Contact information, choose Manage contact information.
    5. Update the phone number and select Save changes.

If the phone number is being used as a sign-in or verification method for a Microsoft account, the path depends on the account state:

    • If the number is already linked to another Microsoft account, a phone number can only be added to a single Microsoft account. Select Change number and add a different mobile number.
    • If the number is on another Microsoft account owned by the same person, sign in to the account that currently has the number, select Remove next to that phone number, sign out, then sign in to the target account and select Add phone number.
    • If the number was recently used on another account and no transfer option appears, use a different number. For recently reused carrier numbers, trying again after 30 days may allow the Transfer option.
