A Microsoft app for iOS and Android devices that enables authentication with two-factor verification, phone sign-in, and code generation
If this is a personal Microsoft account, select I don't have any of these on the verification screen and follow the prompts to recover the account or add new security info.
If the sign-in page shows Help us secure your account or asks to make sure a code can be received, add or verify a new email address or phone number that is accessible. It does not have to be the usual phone or email, as long as it can receive the verification code.
If access to the old phone is the only method on the account:
- Try another listed sign-in method if one appears.
- If none are available, choose I don't have any of these.
- Follow the recovery steps to update security information.
Important:
- Do not change all security info at the same time, or the account may be restricted for 30 days.
- Support agents cannot send verification codes or change account details.
- If verification codes still do not arrive, use another method or wait until access to the listed phone or email is available.
If this is a work or school account and there is no alternate method, use Sign in another way if available. If no other method is set up, contact the organization's IT help desk or administrator for assistance.
