Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
If the authenticator code is not appearing, use another sign-in method or recover the account from the sign-in flow.
- Start signing in to the Microsoft account.
- On the verification screen, look for Use a different way to sign in, Other ways to sign in, or I don't have any of these.
- If another method is available, choose email, phone, or a recovery code.
- If a recovery code was created earlier, select Use my password > Forgot password? > Use a different verification option > I don't have any of these > enter the recovery code.
- If the password is known but access to all security methods is lost, at Verify your identity select I don't have any of these and follow the steps to replace security info. After replacement, sign-in is blocked for 30 days before access is restored.
- If the password is not known and no security methods are accessible, submit the account recovery form.
If access is available to the account security page from another signed-in device:
- Open the Microsoft account Security tab at https://account.microsoft.com/security
- Select Manage how I sign in.
- Select Add a new way to sign in or verify.
- Add another method such as a recovery email, Microsoft Authenticator, or passkey.
Important:
- Existing recovery codes cannot be retrieved or downloaded. Only a new one can be generated after signing in.
- Do not remove or change all security info at the same time, or the account may be restricted for 30 days.
- Support agents cannot send verification codes, reset passwords directly, or change account details.
If sign-in still fails, use the Microsoft sign-in helper or Contact Support from the support page.
