My microsoft account on my phone keeps generating a message for about the last month.
After I tap the message and put in my hotmail email. , and next it says "Get a sign-in request"
I never had this happen before,

I click send request then it says "Check your outlook app" with a number.
I put the number in the outlook app and it says "approved"

And then.... I GET THE MESSAGE ALL OVER AGAIN A FEW MINUTES LATER.

This is ruining other apps that use ondrive to sync and my email.

What is going with this?? Samsung Galaxy S23.

    Welcome alan933,

Based on your description, it sounds like the approval request is completing successfully, but the Microsoft account sign-in token on the phone is not being retained, causing Android to repeatedly ask you to reverify the account.

Before suggesting further steps, could you please confirm:

    • Does the notification come from OneDrive, Outlook, or Android Settings? (You can tap and hold the notification to see which app generated it.)
    • Are you signed into the same Microsoft account in both Outlook and OneDrive?
    • Did this start after a recent phone update, Outlook update, or OneDrive update?

In the meantime, please try these quick checks:

Step 1: Verify OneDrive can sign in normally

    • Open OneDrive
    • Tap your profile picture
    • Confirm that your Hotmail account appears and that your files are syncing correctly

Step 2: Reconnect the Microsoft account in Android

    • Open Settings > Accounts and backup > Manage accounts
    • Select the Microsoft account that is generating the notification
    • Choose Remove account
    • Restart the phone
    • Add the Microsoft account again

Step 3: Clear OneDrive authentication cache

    • Open Settings > Apps > OneDrive > Storage
    • Tap Clear cache
    • Reopen OneDrive and sign in again if prompted
