- Plug the Logitech C270 directly into a USB port on the PC. If it is already plugged in, unplug it and plug it back in. If possible, try a different USB port.
- Restart the PC after connecting it.
- In Windows, open Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Camera and make sure Camera access and Let apps access your camera are turned On.
- Open Device Manager and expand Cameras or Imaging devices. Check whether the webcam appears there and is enabled.
- If it appears but is disabled, right-click it and select Enable.
- If it does not appear correctly, reinstall the webcam driver from the PC or device manufacturer support page.
- Close any app that might already be using the camera, such as video apps or browsers with camera access.
- Make sure Windows is fully updated.
- In Teams, check the camera:
- Open Teams.
- Go to Settings > Devices.
- Confirm the webcam is selected.
- Use Make a test call to verify the camera is working. Note: test call is unavailable in Teams on the web.
- If the camera is detected only sometimes or stops working, try Basic camera driver mode:
- Open Settings in Windows.
- Go to the camera settings for the device.
- Open Advanced camera options.
- Turn on Basic camera driver mode.
- Restart Teams and test again.
If the webcam still is not detected, download and reinstall the webcam driver provided by the PC manufacturer, because that is typically the most compatible version.
