how do I change order of email accounts in 365 exchange

i have tried the below but its not working

Currently, new Outlook for Windows does not provide an option to manually reorder the top-level email accounts in the left navigation pane. The full account list itself cannot currently be rearranged in the same way as in classic Outlook. Meanwhile, please try the following steps:

In new Outlook, right-click the Inbox (or main folder) of the account you use most often.

Select Add to Favorites.

Repeat this for the other accounts you want quick access to.

In the Favorites section at the top of the folder pane, drag the folders into the order you prefer.

You can also organize folders within each account by using custom folder order:

Go to Mail.

Select View > Folder pane > Custom folder order.

Drag the folder to the position you want, or right-click it and choose Move up or Move down.

Hi Ellie,

If you are referring to the order of the actual email accounts in the left-hand folder pane of new Outlook, unfortunately they cannot currently be manually reordered. The custom folder order option only changes folders within an account, not the position of the accounts themselves.

The Favorites workaround also does not change the account order, so if that is what you are trying to achieve, you have not missed a setting. You can submit this as a feature request through Help > Feedback in new Outlook.

If you are using classic Outlook instead, please let me know, as the options are different there.
