My Microsoft account has been hacked

My Microsoft account has been hacked and the email used to log into the account has been changed, as well as the password. Now my old email is not recognized and I can't get files from OneDrive. I've gone through the Recovery process as well as the sign-in helper tool, to no avail. I thought that OneDrive was secure. I have the email address of the person who hacked the account as well as the email that was replaced. Is there any way I can get my files back?

It appears that the hacker changed your Microsoft account email address (alias) and password. If the alias was a Microsoft domain email address, it may have been permanently deleted and might not be available to use with another Microsoft account.

If the hacker gained access to your account, they may also have been able to access your OneDrive files.

If you still have access to your OneDrive files on your Windows desktop, make sure you move them to a local folder and then delete them. If the hacker permanently deleted the files, they may no longer be recoverable.
