Yes. Microsoft 365 Personal can be used without OneDrive on the computer.
- Files do not have to be stored in the cloud. Documents can be saved to a local device instead of OneDrive.
- After the desktop apps are installed and activated, Microsoft 365 apps can be used offline.
- Internet access is still needed for the initial install and activation, updates, subscription management, and to access files stored on OneDrive.
- If OneDrive is installed and not wanted, the simplest option is to unlink it from the PC. On Windows 10/11: select the OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area > Help and Settings > Settings > Account > Unlink this PC > Unlink account.
- Some versions of Windows also allow OneDrive to be hidden or uninstalled.
