I am trying to remove R2Copilot from Word and install the version of Copilot that comes with my MS subscription. To start, how do I remove R2Copilot?

Word for Windows
R2Copilot does not appear under my Add-ins.
R2Copilot appears in the menu bar as the last item on the far right.
When I click R2Copilot, I see the R2Copilot "Get Started" message
R2Copilot does not appear in the File> Options> Add-ins list
R2Coplit does not appear in any of the Add-ins windows

R2 Copilot is a third-party add-in and is separate from Microsoft Copilot. To remove R2 Copilot from Word, please try the following:

Open Word.
Go to Home > Add-ins > More Add-ins.
Select the My Add-ins tab.
Locate R2 Copilot.
Select it, then choose Remove and confirm the removal.
Close and reopen Word.

Thanks for the reply. Since the Remove option is not available, could you please share a little more information?

Are you using Word for Windows or Word for Mac?

When you go to Home > Add-ins > More Add-ins, does R2Copilot appear under My Add-ins, Admin Managed, or somewhere else?

When you select or right-click R2Copilot, which options do you see?

Please also go to File > Options > Add-ins and let me know whether R2Copilot appears anywhere in that list.

If possible, please share screenshots of the R2Copilot entry under More Add-ins and the File > Options > Add-ins window, making sure no personal or sensitive information is visible.

Under Home > Add-ins > More Add-ins, do you see an Admin Managed section? If so, does R2Copilot appear there? Is this your own personal computer and Microsoft 365 subscription, or is the computer/account managed by an employer, school, or another organization?

Do you remember how R2Copilot was originally added to Word? For example, was it installed by you from Microsoft AppSource/Marketplace, or was it already present in Word? Please open Word on the web using the same Microsoft account and check whether R2Copilot also appears there.

If possible, please share a screenshot showing:

The R2Copilot button in the Word ribbon.

The Get Started screen that appears after clicking it.

The File > Account page.

Home > Add-ins > More Add-ins, - I do see Copilot. The only option is to ADD

Personal computer with MS 365 subscription.

The R2 instance was likely installed by accident by me in early August when I was having problems with GoDaddy and MS 365.

Word on the web - don't use this system. However, the account information doesn't match the 365 subscription information.

Please try the following:

In Word, go to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings.

Select Trusted Add-in Catalogs.

Check Next time Office starts, clear all previously-started web add-ins cache.

Click OK, then completely close Word and any other Microsoft 365 applications.

Reopen Word and check whether the R2 Copilot button is still present.
