Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
If the charge is for a Microsoft subscription that does not appear under the account being used, investigate the payment directly from the Microsoft account billing tools:
- Go to the Manage your payments page of the Microsoft account dashboard and select Investigate.
- Check whether the charge is caused by:
- recurring billing on a subscription,
- another person such as a family member using the card,
- a previously declined charge being retried,
- a pre-order or split order,
- an in-app purchase.
- Review order history for duplicate or matching charges.
- If the charge is not found in the current account, there may be another Microsoft account using the same card. Use Payment options and select Investigate to search for other accounts using that card.
- If the charge is still not recognized, contact Microsoft Support through Contact Support.
- If there is any sign the card was used fraudulently, contact the bank or payment provider immediately to prevent more charges. Request that the card be blocked or replaced if needed.
If the charge is specifically from Skype and there is no Skype account, contact Skype customer service. If Auto-recharge was previously enabled on Skype Credit, disable it in the account.
