link outlook email into 365 account

I have created an outlook email : ******@outlook.com

I cannot link this into my 365 account so I cannot open items from this email.

How do I link it?

    Hi, @Jody Farquhar

    Microsoft accounts cannot be merged or linked together. If your Microsoft 365 subscription is under a different Microsoft account, you can still use that account to activate the Office apps and add the new @outlook.com address separately in Outlook.

    You can check which account has the Microsoft 365 subscription here: https://account.microsoft.com/services

    To help narrow this down:

    1. Is the Microsoft 365 subscription registered under a different Microsoft account from the new @outlook.com address?
    2. When you say you cannot open items from this email, are these Word, Excel, or other Office files attached to messages?
