If the headset microphone works on the phone but not on the Windows 11 PC, check these items in order:
- Make sure the headset is connected correctly.
- If it is using Bluetooth, confirm it is paired and connected.
- Set the headset as the recording device.
- Go to Start > Settings > System > Sound.
- Under Input, open Choose a device for speaking or recording.
- Select the Jabra headset microphone if it appears.
- Test the microphone.
- In Start > Settings > System > Sound, select the > next to the input device.
- Under Microphone test, select Start test, speak, then Stop test.
- Use Play under Recorded sample to confirm audio was captured.
- Check microphone permissions.
- Go to Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone.
- Turn on Microphone access.
- Turn on Let apps access your microphone.
- Turn on Let desktop apps access your microphone.
- Run the Windows sound troubleshooter.
- Go to Settings > System > Sound.
- Scroll to Advanced and use Input devices under Troubleshoot common sound problems.
- If Windows still does not detect the headset microphone, reinstall the audio drivers.
- Right-click Start > Device Manager.
- Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
- Right-click each audio device and select Uninstall device.
- Select the option to remove or delete the driver software for the device, then uninstall.
- Restart the PC.
- If needed, return to Device Manager, right-click Sound, video and game controllers, and select Scan for hardware changes.
- Then right-click the audio driver and select Update driver.
If the Jabra microphone never appears in Input after these steps, Windows is not detecting it as a recording device.
