    Hi Veronica Ronnebro - DSV

Since the microphone works correctly with your phone, the headset hardware is likely functioning properly.

In addition to the steps already suggested, please try the following:

    1. If you're using the included Jabra Link 380 USB dongle, connect through the dongle instead of standard Bluetooth. Jabra recommends the dongle for full headset and microphone functionality.
    2. Install Jabra Direct and check for firmware updates for both the headset and the Jabra Link adapter. Firmware updates have addressed microphone-related issues on Evolve2 devices.
    3. Open Device Manager, expand Sound, video and game controllers, uninstall the Jabra audio device, then select Scan for hardware changes or restart the PC. Some users have reported that Windows re-detecting the device restored microphone functionality.
    4. If the headset is connected via Bluetooth, try removing it from Settings > Bluetooth & devices, then pair it again. Re-pairing has resolved microphone detection issues for some Windows 11 users.

If the Jabra microphone still does not appear under Settings > System > Sound > Input, please let us know whether you are using Bluetooth directly or the Jabra Link USB adapter, and whether the headset appears in Device Manager. That will help narrow down the cause.

If the headset microphone works on the phone but not on the Windows 11 PC, check these items in order:

    1. Make sure the headset is connected correctly.
      • If it is using Bluetooth, confirm it is paired and connected.
    2. Set the headset as the recording device.
      • Go to Start > Settings > System > Sound.
      • Under Input, open Choose a device for speaking or recording.
      • Select the Jabra headset microphone if it appears.
    3. Test the microphone.
      • In Start > Settings > System > Sound, select the > next to the input device.
      • Under Microphone test, select Start test, speak, then Stop test.
      • Use Play under Recorded sample to confirm audio was captured.
    4. Check microphone permissions.
      • Go to Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone.
      • Turn on Microphone access.
      • Turn on Let apps access your microphone.
      • Turn on Let desktop apps access your microphone.
    5. Run the Windows sound troubleshooter.
      • Go to Settings > System > Sound.
      • Scroll to Advanced and use Input devices under Troubleshoot common sound problems.
    6. If Windows still does not detect the headset microphone, reinstall the audio drivers.
      • Right-click Start > Device Manager.
      • Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
      • Right-click each audio device and select Uninstall device.
      • Select the option to remove or delete the driver software for the device, then uninstall.
      • Restart the PC.
      • If needed, return to Device Manager, right-click Sound, video and game controllers, and select Scan for hardware changes.
      • Then right-click the audio driver and select Update driver.

If the Jabra microphone never appears in Input after these steps, Windows is not detecting it as a recording device.
