Hi

I recently changed domain from safetech to yell.com but now logged out of my email and unable to get old emails.

Is there a way I can get my old emails back, as when I try and login using old details, it's not working

    Hi @andrew seymour

When your company changed from safetech to yell.com, do you know how the migration was done?

    • Was the existing Microsoft 365 account simply renamed from user @safetech... to user @yell.com?
    • Was a completely new Microsoft 365 account/mailbox created for you?
    • Did the company move from Microsoft 365 to another email provider, or just add another domain (yell.com) to the original tenant?
    • Do these two domains (safetech and yell.com) in the same tenant?

If the company simply changed your email address from @safetech to @yell.com while keeping the same Microsoft 365 mailbox, then your old emails should still be there. In this scenario, the administrator only updates the username and primary email address, but the mailbox itself remains unchanged. You would sign in using the new @yell.com account, and all historical emails, folders, contacts, and calendar items should still be available.

If instead the company created a brand new mailbox for the @yell.com address, then your old emails would not automatically appear in the new mailbox. The old @safetech mailbox may still exist separately, or it may have been disabled after the migration.

If your company moved to a new Microsoft 365 tenant, your @yell.com account may be a completely new mailbox. Your old emails from the @safetech mailbox would need to be migrated from the old tenant to the new one. If that migration was incomplete or failed, some or all of your historical emails may not be available in the new mailbox.

To help determine which scenario applies, could you check whether the above questions and provide more details? If you do not know how the migration process, please contact your IT admin for further information.
