Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
If the subscription belongs to an account you cannot identify, cancellation normally requires first locating the billing owner, since forum members cannot access payment or account records.
Here are some suggestions you can try:
Search every email address you use, including Junk and Deleted folders, for “Microsoft,” “receipt,” “invoice,” or the exact charged amount. A receipt may reveal the account, order number, or product involved.
Check the full transaction description in your banking app. Record the exact merchant name, date, amount, currency, and transaction or authorization number. These details can help billing support trace the payment.
If this is a company card, ask a Microsoft 365 administrator to check Billing > Your products, including self-service purchases. Employees can create subscriptions independently, and the administrator may be able to identify the purchaser and take control of the subscription.
If the subscription was purchased in Germany, use the cancellation process that does not require signing in.
After securing the card, change passwords on any potentially affected Microsoft accounts and enable two-step verification.
These checks focus on locating the billing identity through receipts, transaction details, or an organization’s billing records rather than repeating the standard account search.
