Hi,

I have been completing the recovery email form for over 3 months and have not revieved any email. In May, I did receive a password reset code however, I was in the outback & therefore did not respond in time. The link says "We couldn't change your password because your session expired. Please try again", which is as expected. I have continued to redo the form ever since and I have not received anything.

I did the reinstatement form whereby they just suggested to do the form again. I have tried to do it on a private browsing site as well.

I'm not sure how many more times I need to do this form. How can I proceed?

    Hi Lexie Clark,

I understand that you've been submitting the account recovery form for more than three months and are not receiving any follow-up emails. I can imagine how frustrating this situation must be.

Unfortunately, Microsoft Support and Community moderators cannot manually verify account ownership, provide recovery codes, or bypass the Microsoft account recovery process. The automated recovery system is the only method available for regaining access to a personal Microsoft account.

To improve the chances of a successful recovery, please ensure that:

    • The contact email address entered on the recovery form is active and able to receive messages.
    • You check the Inbox, Junk/Spam, and any filtering or quarantine folders for messages from Microsoft.
    • You submit the recovery form from a device, browser, and location that you have previously used to access the account.
    • You provide as much accurate information as possible, including previous passwords, account details, contacts, and other historical information associated with the account.

Since you mentioned that you are no longer receiving any response emails after your initial password reset attempt expired, you may also want to submit a support request specifically reporting that recovery form responses are not being delivered to your designated contact email address.

I appreciate your patience and hope you're able to regain access to your account soon.
